Spilberk Castle

Villa Tugendhat
Villa Tugendhat is a historical building in Brno, Czech Republic. It is one of the pioneering prototypes of modern architecture in Europe, and was designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Built between 1928 and 1930 for Fritz Tugendhat and his wife Greta, the villa soon became an icon of modernism.

Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul located on the Petrov hill in the centre of the city of Brno is a national cultural monument and one of the most important pieces of architecture in South Moravia. The interior is mostly Baroque in style, while the impressive 84-metre-high towers were constructed to the Gothic Revival designs of the architect August Kirstein in 1904–5. In the 14th century, the Cathedral was rebuilt on an earlier construction as a three-nave Gothic basilica.

Mendel Museum

This museum has been an institution of Masaryk University in Brno since 2007. The museum was established in 2002 with the international co-operation of a number of organizations. This workplace is located within the precincts of the Augustinian abbey in Old Brno, where the abbot and scientist Gregor Johann Mendel, father of genetics, had worked. It aims to promote the legacy of Augustinian abbot G. J. Mendel, who is known primarily for his studies conducted on plants, peas in particular.

Moravian Museum
Moravian Museum is the second largest and oldest museum in the Czech Republic.
The museum was founded in July 1817 in Brno. Its collections include over 6 million objects from many fields of science and culture.
Brno Ossuary
Ossuary is an underground ossuary in Brno, Czech Republic. It was rediscovered in 2001 in the historical centre of the city, partially under the Church of St. James. It is estimated that the ossuary holds the remains of over 50 thousand people which makes it the second-largest ossuary in Europe, after the Catacombs of Paris. The ossuary was founded in the 17th century and since June 2012 is opened to public.

Veveří Castle
One of the most popular places in Moravia is the Veveří Castle, a romantic medieval residence above the lake surface located 12km from Brno city center. A former hunting lodge has an eight-centuries-long history and remembers times of glory as well as deep sorrow.. You can also visit some of the many cultural and social events, exhibitions, concerts, wine-tasting and wine celebrations that are held in the castle.

Moravian Gallery

The Moravian Gallery in Brno is the second largest art museum in the Czech Republic, established in 1961 by merging of two older institutions. It is situated in three main buildings: Pražák Palace, Governor's Palace and Museum of Decorative Arts. Since 1963 the gallery has organized the International Biennale of Graphic Design.

The small pub with at least 5 special beers on tap changing every day. In this restaurant you get good tartar steak which in Czech republic is eaten with „topinky“ – fried czech bread with garlic. (Kitchen closed on Saturday and Sunday!!)
